I worked with companies such as Stage Audio Services and Southby Productions to deploy and operate L Acoustics and d&b Audiotechnik PA systems around UK festivals. Including events such as Slamdunk Festival, Cambridge Club Festival, Truck Festival and Tramlines Festival. Using an array of L Acoustics K series boxes with the P1 processor and d&b KSL and XSL boxes with Smaart.
Starting with a month in Europe in January 2020, I’ve been mixing FOH for Uriah Heep. Touring a Yamaha CL1, often having to adjust
and attend to in house PA systems using Smaart, keeping within the noise limits defined at each gig.
This involved me mixing the monitors for Classic Ibiza, an orchestral dance act touring stately homes across the UK. Running a Yamaha CL5 at maximum channel and mix count with a mixture of wireless stereo and wired mono in ear mixes to all performers on stage.
Throughout the pandemic, I switched over to
working in TV, for Formula One Management. This
involved rigging and patching the microphones on
track before looking after interviews, press conferences, team radio and
commentators during F1 race weekends.
I try to keep up to date with the current technology of the industry through various manufacturer training courses, such as L acoustics K1 and K2 and the Dante certification program.
